Duck with a feather effect for a sustainable impact. Natural rubber is a rubber-like material found in the latex of many different rubber plants. It is a natural and renewable raw material. The latex is obtained by making incisions in the tree bark, then collected and further processed. The result is a durable, sustainable item with a distinctive feel, made without using crude oil. It is also biodegradable and kind to the environment.
As natural rubber is a natural product, the colour and consistency of the product may change over time. It is not suitable for use in chlorinated water (e.g. in swimming pools).
A white coating or film, similar to powder, may occasionally form on natural rubber. This is simply a sign that the duck is a completely natural product made from high-quality natural rubber.
This happens when wax migrates from the material to the surface as it ages at ambient temperature. A small amount of wax is added as a release agent during vulcanisation. This process is known as "blooming".
